The zone was converted tile by tile from a later client and put back where it belongs: 6,727 doodads, 115 buildings, its own music and ambience, a world map and minimap, and collision the game agrees with.

A complete World of Warcraft client in one download. No hunting for patches, no half-installed art packs, no version that works for everyone except you.
The launcher is about 16 MB. It downloads and verifies the game itself — roughly 36 GB — and you can install it anywhere you like.
What you are actually getting
High-definition art
The full Project Reforged kit ships as part of the client, along with retail-resolution textures for everything the converted terrain places. Everyone gets identical game data, so nobody is debugging a missing patch.
Verified, not hoped for
Every file is split into chunks addressed by the hash of their contents. Installing, updating and repairing are the same operation, downloads resume where they stopped, and a corrupt byte is caught before it is written, not months later.
Addons that actually load
A curated list built into the launcher, one click each. Every one is downloaded and checked against this client's interface version before it is offered — so nothing on the list greets you with "game client not supported".
Updates that cost what they should
When a patch changes, you download the parts that changed. Not the archive it lives in, and certainly not the whole client again.
Straight into the game
The launcher points the client at the realm and carries your account across, so pressing Play takes you to character select rather than a login box you have to fill in again.
Getting started

Download the launcher
One small executable. It installs like any other Windows program and will offer Program Files, though you can put it wherever you have room.

Let it fetch the game
You do not need World of Warcraft installed already. If you happen to have a 3.3.5a client, point the installer at it and anything that already matches is kept.

Make an account
Accounts are created on the realm, not here. Ask in Discord and you will be sorted out in a minute.

Press Play
That is it. The launcher keeps the client current from then on.
Questions
Do I need to own World of Warcraft?
No. The launcher downloads a complete client.
Will this interfere with an existing WoW installation?
No. Pendragon installs into its own folder and keeps its settings separately. An existing client is never modified.
Can I use my own addons?
Yes. The launcher only manages the addons you install through it, and leaves everything else in the AddOns folder alone.
Why will a modern addon not work?
This is a 3.3.5a client, interface version 30300. Addons written for current WoW call
functions that did not exist in 2010 — C_Timer, C_Map,
C_QuestLog — and fail the moment they load. The list in the launcher
is made of versions built for this client.
Where does it install?
Wherever you choose. It suggests Program Files and will ask Windows for permission if you keep that, and it tells you up front whether the drive has room.
How do I uninstall it?
Add or remove programs, like anything else. It removes the game, the shortcuts and its saved settings.
